Odeneho Kwaku Appiah, popularly known as COKA, has been elected as the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
According to provisional results from the party’s regional executive elections, COKA secured 663 votes, defeating his main opponent, Henry Kwabena Kokofu, who received 269 votes.
COKA won by a clear margin of 394 votes, giving him a strong victory in the contest.
His election means he will now take charge of the NPP’s activities in the Ashanti Region and oversee efforts to strengthen the party’s structures.
He is also expected to lead the party’s mobilisation and organisational activities as the NPP prepares for the 2028 general elections.
The election is part of a nationwide exercise by the NPP to elect new regional executives who will manage the party’s affairs and help prepare it for the next general election.
