A missing Circle phone dealer, Nana Yaw Kyere, popularly known as Terry Dinero, has reportedly been found dead in Teshie, days after he went missing while on a business trip to the area.
Kyere’s body was reportedly found in Teshie on Thursday, September 24, 2026, with a relative confirming the development.
The relative said there were signs that an attempt had been made to burn the body, although the attempt reportedly failed.
The body has since been deposited at the morgue, as police continue investigations into the circumstances surrounding his death.
Kyere, a well-known phone dealer at Kwame Nkrumah Circle, reportedly drove his Honda Civic to Teshie to meet a friend and complete a phone business transaction but never returned.
His disappearance raised concern among family members, friends and fellow traders, especially after a series of unusual WhatsApp messages were sent from his phone around midnight on Sunday.
According to an associate, one of the messages claimed that Terry had been “set up” by a girl in a room at Teshie. The message also included a photograph of the room and Terry’s live location.
The associate, however, grew suspicious because the language and style of the messages did not appear to match Terry’s usual way of communicating.
At about 3:00 a.m., another message was reportedly sent from Terry’s phone claiming that he had been released.
The situation became even more puzzling when the associate later noticed that both the photograph of the room and the live location shared during the midnight exchange had been deleted from the WhatsApp conversation.
Terry’s family later confirmed that he had not returned home after travelling to Teshie, while efforts to reach him by phone were unsuccessful.
Three suspects have reportedly been arrested in connection with his disappearance as investigators seek to determine what happened between Terry’s trip to Teshie and the discovery of his body.
His death has left relatives, friends and fellow phone dealers at the Circle seeking answers, with the circumstances of his disappearance and the reported attempt to burn his body now part of the ongoing investigation.
