MPs who supported Kennedy won’t be sidelined – Nii Narh Nartey

The former Member of Parliament (MP) for Ablekuma Central, Ebenezer Nii Narh Nartey, is putting rumours to rest regarding a supposed hit-list within the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

He has flatly rejected claims that the party plans to sideline or demote MPs who supported Kennedy Agyapong during its recent presidential primaries.

Nartey labelled these allegations as a calculated distraction. He argued that the idea of Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia’s team punishing internal rivals has no basis in reality.

“It is never true. That is just a way of shifting attention,” he said.

He reassured party members that the NPP prioritises unity over past internal friction. According to Nartey, the leadership intends to support every sitting MP, no matter which candidate they initially preferred.

He clarified that all current legislators will have a fair shot at contesting their seats during the upcoming parliamentary primaries.

Nartey concluded by reminding everyone that the party’s ultimate goal is collective strength rather than personal gain.

“We are building a party, not individuals,” he added.
