A 40-year-old mother of three has reportedly been detained by men who identified themselves as National Security operatives in a midnight raid at Hansua in the Techiman Municipality.
The woman, identified as Salomey Baffoe, was allegedly taken from her home by three men dressed in black uniforms.
According to reports, the men did not present an arrest warrant or explain the reason for taking her away.
More than 48 hours after the reported arrest, Baffoe’s whereabouts remain unknown, raising concerns among her family and members of the public.
The reported detention is said to be linked to investigations surrounding the anonymous “Ghana Jollof” social media account.
However, details about the alleged connection between Baffoe and the account have not been publicly established.
The situation has also raised questions about the circumstances surrounding her reported arrest and detention.
The Bono East Regional Police Command has reportedly said it has no information about Baffoe’s detention.
Regional National Security operatives have also reportedly denied knowledge of the alleged arrest.
The conflicting accounts have increased concerns over the whereabouts and safety of the mother of three.
Baffoe’s mother has since appealed for information about her daughter and called for her safe release.
The reported incident has also renewed public discussion about the legal requirements surrounding arrests and detention in Ghana.
