The Confederation of African Football has appointed Congolese referee Jean-Jacques Ndala to officiate the first leg of the 2026 CAF Champions League Final.
He will handle the opening match between FAR Rabat and Mamelodi Sundowns on May 17 in Pretoria, South Africa.
Ndala’s appointment comes despite criticism over his performance in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations Final.
However, CAF continues to rate him highly based on his overall experience and recent performances.
For the second leg on May 24 in Rabat, Morocco, CAF has selected Somali referee Omar Artan to take charge.
