Real Madrid and Spain defender Marc Cucurella has shared an emotional insight into his family’s journey with autism, revealing the deep bond he shares with his young son and the sacrifices he would willingly make for his child’s well-being.
Speaking in a heartfelt interview, the 28-year-old said he would give up all his wealth if it meant his son could live without the challenges of autism.
“I have a son with autism. I wish I had no money at all if it meant my son could be healthy,” Cucurella said, expressing the emotional impact his son’s condition has had on his family.
The defender also disclosed the touching reason he has chosen to keep his trademark long, curly hair. According to him, his son loves his hairstyle, and it also serves another important purpose.
“I keep my hair long because he loves it—and also so he can recognize me if he ever forgets who I am,” he added.
