The Ghana Football Association has announced 153 match officials who have been selected to officiate games in the 2026/27 UMB Division One League season.
The list includes 74 referees and 79 assistant referees, all of whom successfully completed the required examinations, medical assessments and fitness tests ahead of the new campaign.
The selection forms part of preparations by the Football Association to ensure that the league begins with properly assessed and qualified officials.
As part of their final preparations, the selected referees and assistant referees will take part in the annual refereeing course at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram.
The course will be organised in two batches. The first group will attend the programme from September 12 to 15, 2026, while the second group will take part from September 17 to 20, 2026.
The training is expected to provide the officials with an opportunity to refresh their knowledge of the Laws of the Game and prepare for the demands of the new season.
After completing the course, the officials will be assigned to matches across the league’s three zones when the 2026/27 UMB Division One League gets underway.
The new season is scheduled to begin between September 18 and 21, 2026, with clubs competing for promotion to the Ghana Premier League.
The campaign is expected to run until May 24, 2027, covering 30 match weekends.
