Boakye Agyarko’s campaign has dismissed allegations of a divide between the former Energy Minister and NPP flagbearer Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia in the lead-up to the party’s national executive elections on October 3.
In a statement issued by campaign spokesperson Vincent Frimpong Manu, it was asserted that Agyarko “has his full support” for Bawumia and will not interfere with the flagbearer’s campaign.
The statement further defended Agyarko’s contributions to the NPP, highlighting his involvement since 1992, his position as the 2012 National Campaign Manager, and his efforts in establishing the party’s diaspora structures.
The campaign urged delegates to evaluate the national chairmanship candidates based on factual information, noting that Agyarko will outline his comprehensive plan for revitalizing the party in a forthcoming statement.
