The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) has brought under control a fire that broke out among several commercial containers at Ebenezer Junction on the Teshie Lekma Road, near Lekma Hospital.
The affected containers were being used for various businesses, with a vulcaniser’s container reportedly sustaining significant damage.
Three fire appliances from the Trade Fair, Kasapreko and National Headquarters Fire Stations were deployed to the scene.
The GNFS said firefighters are currently carrying out salvage operations to prevent the fire from reigniting.
“The fire is currently under control as salvaging is being done to prevent reignition,” the Service said in an update on Facebook.
The cause of the fire and the full extent of the damage are yet to be established.
