The 2026/27 Ghana Premier League enters Matchday Six on Sunday, October 11, with several exciting fixtures scheduled as clubs seek valuable points to strengthen their positions on the league table.
One of the weekend’s standout encounters will see Hearts of Oak host impressive newcomers Port City FC at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium, with the Phobians determined to end their three-match winless run.
Hearts have collected eight points from five matches and remain unbeaten at home. They have also kept consecutive clean sheets on their own turf and conceded just two goals throughout the campaign, giving them the league’s best defensive record.
Port City, however, will arrive in Accra with confidence after a 3-1 victory over Bechem United. The Kukurantumi-based side have earned 10 points from five matches, recording three wins, a draw and one defeat to occupy third place.
At Golden City Park, Berekum Chelsea will attempt to move away from the relegation zone when they welcome Debibi United FC. Chelsea have managed just one victory in five matches and lost 1-0 to Basake Holy Stars last weekend. Their unbeaten home record offers some encouragement ahead of the encounter.
Debibi United have also found life in the top flight difficult. The newcomers have four points and sit 14th after suffering three defeats, including losses in both away matches.
Young Apostles face another stern challenge when they host Aduana FC at the Wenchi Sports Stadium. The hosts have lost their last three matches and sit 17th with three points, having scored twice and conceded nine goals.
Aduana, meanwhile, have won their last three games to move into fourth place with 10 points. The Fire Club are unbeaten away from home and have kept clean sheets in both road fixtures.
Elsewhere, Bibiani Gold Stars will welcome Basake Holy Stars to Duns Park, hoping to secure their first home points after losing both matches in Bibiani. Gold Stars have four points, while Basake sit fifth with nine points following their 1-0 win over Berekum Chelsea.
