Oppong Nkrumah praises peaceful elections in Ofoase-Ayirebi

Member of Parliament for Ofoase-Ayirebi, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, has applauded delegates, aspirants and party members for the peaceful and orderly conduct of the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) constituency executive elections in the area.

Describing the exercise as successful, the former Minister for Information commended participants for demonstrating maturity, discipline and a strong commitment to the party’s democratic values throughout the electoral process.

In a statement issued after the elections, Mr Oppong Nkrumah expressed satisfaction with the calm atmosphere that characterised both the campaign period and voting process.

“I am proud of the decorous campaign and the diligence of the grassroots in selecting from among the aspirants a team that will help us continue the service of raising the flag of Ofoase-Ayirebi higher,” he said.

He praised the constituency’s grassroots members for carrying out their responsibility peacefully and choosing a leadership team they believe will strengthen the party and advance its objectives in the constituency.

With the elections concluded, the MP urged party members to put the contest behind them and focus on rebuilding unity to position the NPP for future political activities.

According to him, the party’s success will depend on collaboration among all members, regardless of the outcome of the elections.

Mr Oppong Nkrumah disclosed that all candidates who contested the constituency executive positions would soon meet to promote reconciliation and foster a renewed spirit of teamwork.

“In the coming days, all who contested shall be meeting as a family as we unite and plot a path for the next chapter,” he stated.

The Ofoase-Ayirebi constituency election formed part of the NPP’s nationwide exercise to elect new constituency executives as the party reorganises its structures across the country.

The nationwide elections are expected to strengthen the party’s grassroots leadership, improve internal organisation and prepare the NPP for upcoming political activities and future national elections.
