A man is receiving specialist treatment at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital after he was allegedly attacked with a motorcycle key during a violent confrontation between two commercial motorcycle riders, popularly known as okada riders, at Jasikan in the Oti Region.
According to reports, the victim was injured while attempting to intervene in a fight between the two riders, who were allegedly arguing over a passenger.
The altercation reportedly escalated when one of the riders allegedly used a motorcycle key as a weapon, driving it into the skull of his colleague during the struggle.
The injured man was initially taken to a nearby health facility before being referred to the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital for specialist treatment due to the severity of his injuries.
Authorities are expected to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident and take the necessary legal action.
