The Ghana Police Service has arrested three more suspects related to the murder of Indian national Devendra Singh, increasing the total number of arrests in this case to four.

The victim had previously been reported missing, which prompted the police to initiate investigations and efforts to locate him.

Authorities indicated that a significant breakthrough occurred on April 25, 2026, at approximately 2:00 p.m., when officers received a tip-off regarding the discovery of the victim’s vehicle, which had been abandoned on the outskirts of Sabin Akrofuom near Royal Lemosey Hospital.

A team sent to the location found the vehicle parked by the roadside. Upon examination, officers uncovered the lifeless body of Devendra Singh in the trunk of the car, bearing multiple stab wounds.

During a press briefing on Friday, May 8, the Director of Public Affairs of the Ghana Police Service, ACP Grace Ansah-Akrofi, revealed that police intelligence operations carried out on April 29 and 30 resulted in the arrest of three additional suspects identified as Osman Moro, also known as Tiago, aged 20, Hakim Kudjoe Jnr, and Moro Sulley, alias Moro Aboboyaa.

She clarified that these recent arrests followed the prior detention of suspect John Adokpo, also known as Peter.

According to the police, Hakim Kudjoe Jnr. confessed to his participation in the crime and informed investigators that on April 24, he visited the deceased’s workplace and, with the help of suspect Moro Sulley, replaced the CCTV camera server.

He subsequently guided police to the site where the CCTV server was recovered.

The police further revealed that Hakim Kudjoe Jnr. admitted to taking the deceased’s iPhone 17 Pro Max and a Tecno mobile phone after the murder.

He allegedly passed the iPhone to Osman Moro at Kaase and gave the Tecno phone to Moro Sulley.

Osman Moro later directed officers to a nearby bush where the iPhone was found. The device had been wrapped in a brown envelope and buried in a hole concealed with leaves.

ACP Ansah-Akrofi stated that Moro Sulley was recognised as the person who helped in the replacement of the CCTV server at the workplace of the deceased.

She further mentioned that the suspect, John Adokpo, confessed to operating the vehicle of the deceased to the site where it was ultimately found.

“All the suspects are currently in police custody assisting with investigations, while efforts are ongoing to arrest two other persons believed to be connected to the case,” she stated.
