The National Service Authority (NSA) has extended the deadline for registration for the 2026/2027 national service year by eight days, giving eligible personnel more time to complete the process.
The original deadline of October 15 has been moved to Friday, October 23, 2026, according to a statement issued by the authority on Friday, October 16.
The extension is intended to give prospective national service personnel who are yet to complete their registration an additional opportunity to do so before the revised deadline.
The authority has urged all affected personnel to take advantage of the extension and ensure that they complete the required registration procedures within the stipulated period.
It also advised applicants to follow the prescribed steps carefully to avoid complications that could arise from failing to register before the deadline.
Prospective service personnel who have not completed their registration are therefore expected to finalise the process by October 23 to avoid missing the deadline.
