Two students of Christ the King (CTK) Senior High School in Obuasi, Ashanti Region, are receiving treatment after suffering cutlass wounds during a violent attack on the school campus.
The incident reportedly happened shortly after final-year students completed their last examination paper.
A group of young men believed to be from Pomposo, Akaporiso, and Tutuka allegedly stormed the campus, causing fear and chaos among students and staff.
According to the headmaster, Owusu Gyimah, the attackers are suspected to have links with some students of the school.
He explained that the group had repeatedly attempted to enter the campus to harass female students but had often been stopped by the school cadets.
The headmaster further revealed that tensions escalated after some student members of the group identified cadet leaders who had consistently blocked their activities.
This, he said, may have triggered the violent attack.
Describing the incident as deeply disturbing, Mr. Gyimah said students are now living in fear and called for tighter security on campus.
Police have since launched investigations to identify and arrest those responsible.
Although no arrests have been made yet, some residents claim they can identify individuals linked to the attack.
Meanwhile, students and staff are demanding urgent security measures, including a permanent police presence and the fencing of the school to prevent future invasions and restore calm on campus.
