Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Odeneho Kwaku Appiah, popularly known as COKA, has assured the party’s leadership that the Ashanti Region will deliver for the NPP and its flagbearer, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, in the 2028 general election.
Speaking at the party’s National Delegates Conference at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi on Saturday, October 3, COKA said the region remained committed to the NPP and would play its part in the party’s efforts ahead of the next election.
“Ashanti Region will not disappoint the NPP. Ashanti Region will not disappoint Dr Bawumia in 2028,” he said.
He called on party members to remain united and work together as the NPP reorganises its structures ahead of the 2028 polls.
COKA also urged the party’s newly elected national executives to strengthen the connection between the national leadership and the grassroots.
“We must work together. We must unite the party and make sure that the grassroots are carried along,” he said.
His remarks came as more than 7,000 NPP delegates gathered at the stadium to elect the party’s national executives.
The conference is part of the party’s ongoing preparations for the 2028 general election.
