At least 10 wooden structures have been affected by a fire at the Golden Door area of Tantra Hill in Accra.
The structures, which were used for both residential and commercial activities, caught fire on Monday, August 17.
Firefighters from the Amasaman Fire Station were quickly sent to the area to put out the fire and stop it from spreading to nearby properties.
The Assistant Divisional Officer of the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS), Alex King Nartey, confirmed the incident in a Facebook post.
The exact cause of the fire is not yet known. Authorities are also still assessing the extent of the damage caused by the blaze.
Residents in the area were left concerned as firefighters worked to bring the situation under control and prevent further destruction.
