A total of 10 Regional Football Association (RFA) U-19 Select Teams will compete for national honours in a competition aimed at providing a platform for young footballers to showcase their talents at a high level.

The championship is expected to attract attention from the GFA Technical Directorate, national youth team coaches and football scouts, who will use the tournament as an opportunity to identify and assess players with the potential to represent Ghana at future international competitions.

The MTN Elite U-19 Championship has become an important component of the GFA’s youth development programme, creating a structured pathway for talented players to transition from juvenile football into elite-level competition.

The tournament supports the GFA’s “Power to the Youth” agenda, which focuses on nurturing emerging talents through competitive opportunities, improved player development systems and effective talent identification.
