The 2025/26 Ghana Premier League (GPL) has produced 101 goals from 45 matches following the completion of Matchday Five, with home teams continuing to enjoy a significant advantage.
Of the 45 games played so far, home sides have recorded 26 victories, while visiting teams have managed just seven wins. The remaining 12 matches have ended in draws.
The dominance of home teams is also reflected in the scoring figures. Hosts have accounted for 66 of the 101 goals scored, while away teams have found the net 35 times.
The league has also witnessed more goals in the opening 45 minutes. A total of 56 goals have been scored in the first half, compared to 45 after the interval.
The statistics highlight the importance of home advantage in the early stages of the campaign, with teams making the most of familiar surroundings and home support to secure crucial points.
Attention now turns to Matchday Six, with clubs set to return to action this weekend as the battle for points continues across the various league centres.
