Ghanaian champions Ampem Darkoa Ladies will face FC Dynamique in the semi-finals of the WAFU B Women’s Champions League qualifiers on Wednesday, September 2, 2026.
Ampem Darkoa go into the important encounter as strong favourites after an impressive run in the group stage of the competition in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso.
The Ghanaian side finished top of Group B with nine points after winning all three of their matches. They are also the only team in the competition to maintain a perfect record so far.
Ampem Darkoa opened their campaign with a narrow 1-0 victory over defending champions ASEC Mimosas before producing an impressive 4-0 win against AS GNN.
They then completed their group-stage campaign with a comeback 2-1 victory over Nigeria’s Edo Queens on Sunday to secure top spot.
The champions scored seven goals across their three matches while conceding only once, highlighting their strong attacking and defensive performances.
Several players have played key roles in the team’s impressive campaign. Milot Abena Pokuaa, captain Nancy Amoh, Patricia Adjei, experienced forward Priscilla Okyere and Gloria Adomako have all produced important performances. Adomako scored Ampem Darkoa’s first goal of the tournament.
Their semi-final opponents, FC Dynamique, have had a difficult campaign. The side is yet to win a match or score a goal in the competition.
FC Dynamique suffered a 3-0 defeat to Burkina Faso’s USFA in their opening Group A match before drawing 0-0 with Togo’s ASKO. They therefore enter the semi-final with only one point from two games.
The semi-final will be played at the August 4 Stadium in Ouagadougou, with the winner advancing to face either USFA or Edo Queens in the final.
