The Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2027 is officially set to take place from June 19 to July 18, 2027.

The tournament will be jointly hosted by three East African nations, Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania, in what promises to be a landmark moment for regional collaboration and sporting development.

This will be the first time in decades that the tournament returns to East Africa, and notably the first-ever tri-nation hosting arrangement in the competition’s history. The decision by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) reflects a growing commitment to expanding football infrastructure across the continent while promoting unity among member nations.

Preparations are already underway across the three host countries, with significant investments expected in stadium upgrades, transportation systems, and hospitality services. Major cities such as Nairobi, Kampala, and Dar es Salaam are likely to serve as key venues, offering a diverse cultural and sporting experience for fans traveling from across Africa and beyond.

For fans, players, and stakeholders, the announcement signals the beginning of an exciting journey toward what could become one of the most memorable editions of AFCON. With three nations, AFCON 2027 is poised to celebrate not just football excellence but also African unity.
