Ampem Darkoa Ladies reach WAFU B final after beating FC Dynamique

Ghanaian champions Ampem Darkoa Ladies have booked their place in the final of the 2026 WAFU Zone B Women’s Champions League qualifiers after recording an impressive 4-1 victory over Benin’s FC Dynamique.

The semi-final was played on Wednesday at the August 4 Stadium in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso, where Ampem Darkoa continued their outstanding form in the competition.

The Techiman-based side took control of the game early, with striker Milot Pokuaa opening the scoring in the 16th minute. She finished off a well-delivered pass to give the Ghanaian champions a 1-0 lead.

Ampem Darkoa continued to dominate and doubled their advantage in the 28th minute through Rebecca Asemani.

Gloria Adomako added a third goal 10 minutes later, putting the Ghanaian side in a strong position before the break.

Ampem Darkoa maintained their attacking approach after the restart and were rewarded with another goal in the 66th minute. Pokuaa found the back of the net again to complete her brace and make it 4-0.

FC Dynamique managed to score a late consolation goal, but the effort was not enough to change the outcome as Ampem Darkoa comfortably secured a 4-1 victory.

The win means Ampem Darkoa have maintained their perfect record in Burkina Faso, having won all four matches played so far in the qualifiers.

The Ghanaian champions have also scored 11 goals while conceding only two, underlining their strong performances throughout the tournament.

Ampem Darkoa will now face Nigerian champions Edo Queens in the final on Saturday, September 5, at the August 4 Stadium.

The final carries a major reward, with the winner earning qualification to the 2026/27 CAF Women’s Champions League.
