Police warn motorists against using AirPods, earphones while driving or riding

The Ghana Police Service has warned motorists and motorcyclists against using AirPods, earphones, or other audio devices while driving or riding.

In a public safety announcement signed by the Police Public Affairs Directorate, the Service said the use of such devices on the road is prohibited as part of measures to reduce road crashes and improve road safety.

The Police warned that road users who violate the directive could be arrested and prosecuted under Ghanaian law.

The Service has therefore urged motorists and riders to remain alert and comply with road traffic regulations to avoid legal consequences.

“Stay alert. Stay safe. Obey road traffic regulations,” the Police said.
