A man posing as Dr. Callistus Mahama and reportedly offering to secure appointments for a fee has been apprehended.

This information was shared by Dr. Mahama in a post on social media, where he mentioned that the suspect had been active for a period before investigations culminated in his arrest.

Dr. Mahama took this opportunity to remind the public that appointments cannot be acquired through monetary payments and warned against individuals making such requests in his name.

“This should serve as a reminder to the public, no one is required to pay money to obtain an appointment. Anyone who demands payment while claiming to act on our behalf is a fraudster,” he said.

He also encouraged Ghanaians to confirm any suspicious requests through official channels and to report anyone involved in similar fraudulent activities.

“We urge all Ghanaians to remain vigilant, verify any suspicious requests through official channels, and report anyone engaging in such fraudulent activities. Please do not fall victim to these scams.

“Stay alert. Stay informed.”
