The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) has responded to a vehicular fire involving a 2016 BMW at Teshie Bush Road, Telephone Road, in Accra.
The incident occurred on Saturday, September 12, 2026, after the Trade Fair Fire Station received an alert through the Fire Master Control at about 3:35 a.m.
According to the GNFS, a firefighting crew was dispatched one minute later and arrived at the scene promptly to tackle the blaze.
Upon arrival, firefighters found the BMW fully engulfed in flames. The crew worked to bring the fire under control at 4:13 a.m. before completely extinguishing it at 4:37 a.m.
The fire caused significant damage to the vehicle, destroying the dashboard, seats, rear tyres and boot.
However, firefighters managed to save the engine compartment and front tyres from the flames.
The GNFS said no casualties were recorded in connection with the incident.
The exact cause of the fire has not yet been established. The Service said investigations are ongoing to determine what started the blaze.
