The Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFund) has launched a nationwide appeal for support to provide furniture to schools facing shortages across the country.
The initiative seeks to mobilise resources from individuals, businesses, organisations and other stakeholders to help address the furniture deficit in schools.
GETFund says the shortage of desks and other essential furniture continues to affect teaching and learning, with some pupils forced to sit on floors or share limited desks.
The Fund is therefore calling on the public and private sectors to support efforts to provide adequate furniture and create a better learning environment for students.
The appeal forms part of broader efforts to improve infrastructure and learning conditions in Ghanaian schools.
