A fire outbreak has damaged a recording studio located within the Coral Paints headquarters building at Adabraka in Accra.
The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) confirmed that the blaze occurred on the second floor of the commercial facility, where the studio is situated, prompting an emergency response from firefighters.
According to the GNFS, the distress call was received at the Fire Control Room, after which personnel from the Industrial Area Fire Station were immediately dispatched to the scene to contain the situation.
Firefighters managed to bring the blaze under control before it could spread to other parts of the building, preventing what could have been a major commercial disaster.
Preliminary findings suggest that the fire may have been triggered by an electrical fault within the recording studio, although investigations are still ongoing to determine the exact cause.
Fortunately, no casualties or injuries were recorded in the incident.
The GNFS says its investigation team will continue to assess the extent of damage and establish whether safety protocols were adequately observed within the facility.
The Coral Paints headquarters building is a busy commercial facility that houses various business operations, including office spaces and service units.
Authorities have urged businesses to regularly inspect electrical installations to prevent similar incidents in the future.
