Eight arrested over renewed Nkwanta South attack

Eight persons have been arrested by security agencies in connection with the latest violent attacks in the Nkwanta South Municipality, as authorities intensify efforts to restore peace in the conflict-prone area.

The arrests follow renewed clashes that left residents in fear and prompted a heavy security deployment to affected communities within the municipality.

According to security sources, the suspects were picked up during intelligence-led operations conducted after reports of gunfire and attacks in parts of Nkwanta South.
