The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has announced a planned power outage for the Airport area in Accra and nearby communities on Sunday, August 2, 2026.
The company said the temporary outage is needed so it can carry out maintenance work to improve electricity service.
The power will be off from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
ECG has also announced another planned power outage for parts of Accra East on Monday, August 3, 2026.
“The exercise, per to ECG, is intended to improve service delivery and will affect customers from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.”
The areas expected to be affected include parts of East Legon, parts of Okponglo, Fafraha, Ashiyie, and nearby communities.
ECG apologised to customers for any inconvenience the planned maintenance may cause.
