Kwame Baffoe, popularly known as Abronye DC, the Bono Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has been granted permission by the court to travel to the United Kingdom to pursue a master’s degree programme.
The court approval follows an application filed by Abronye DC seeking leave to temporarily leave Ghana for academic purposes.
He is expected to undertake postgraduate studies in the UK for a specified period before returning to continue with any ongoing legal obligations.
According to court proceedings, the request was considered in line with his bail conditions, which allow him to travel outside the country only with prior approval from the court.
The application was subsequently granted, with conditions attached to ensure compliance with the law and his return to Ghana.
Abronye DC, a well-known and often outspoken political figure within the New Patriotic Party, has been involved in ongoing legal processes in recent months.
The court’s decision therefore includes strict requirements that he must notify relevant authorities of his travel itinerary and return within the approved timeframe.
He is expected to depart Ghana in the coming days to commence his studies, after which he will be required to return to face the court as directed under his bail conditions.
