University of Ghana releases 2026/27 undergraduate admissions

The University of Ghana has released its undergraduate admissions for the 2026/2027 academic year, allowing applicants to check whether they have been offered admission.

The university has advised applicants to visit its official admissions portal to check their admission status and access information relating to their applications.

An Admissions Assistance Desk has also been opened to support applicants with admission-related enquiries.

The desk, located at the Sports and Wellness Directorate, begins operations today, Thursday, September 17, 2026, and will remain open until Friday, October 2, 2026.

It will operate from Monday to Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. On Saturdays, the desk will be available from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

The university said the support service is intended to assist applicants who may have questions or require clarification about their admission status and related processes.

Management has also cautioned applicants to be careful of individuals who may attempt to take advantage of the admissions process.

The university stressed that its admission process cannot be influenced by any individual, agent or intermediary.

Applicants have therefore been advised not to make payments, offer gifts or provide favours to anyone who claims they can secure admission on their behalf.

The warning comes as the release of admissions often attracts individuals who falsely claim to have connections within universities or the ability to influence admission decisions.

The University of Ghana urged applicants to rely on official channels for all admission-related information and enquiries.
