EOCO reportedly escorts Dennis Miracles Aboagye to his Larteh Akuapem residence

Aide to the New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, Dennis Miracles Aboagye, has reportedly been accompanied by officials from the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) to his residence in Larteh Akuapem as part of ongoing investigations.

This development follows EOCO’s decision to grant Mr. Aboagye bail amounting to GH¢50 million, which requires three sureties, two of whom must be justified.

His legal team previously indicated that fulfilling the bail conditions has been challenging, with his lawyer, Samuel Atta Akyea, characterising the requirements as excessive and difficult to meet.

Mr. Aboagye, who previously served as the Executive Secretary of the Inter-Ministerial Coordinating Committee on Decentralisation (IMCC), is under investigation for alleged financial and procurement-related irregularities involving GH¢55 million during his time in office.

The allegations are still under investigation, and no court has found him guilty of any crime.

EOCO has not publicly revealed the specific purpose of the visit to his residence.

This development is part of the ongoing inquiry as investigators continue to engage with Mr. Aboagye and other relevant parties.
