Ghanaian forward Abdul Hakim Sulemana has completed a permanent move to Danish second-tier club Hillerød Fodbold after impressing during his loan spell with the club in the 2025/26 season.
The 21-year-old has signed a contract that will keep him at Hillerød until the summer of 2028, giving him the opportunity to continue his development in Denmark.
Sulemana originally joined Hillerød on loan from Danish top-flight side Randers FC in September 2025. During his spell, he made 18 appearances and scored two goals, including important goals towards the end of the campaign.
His performances were enough to convince Hillerød to make the move permanent as the club looks to build on its strong 2025/26 campaign. Hillerød finished third in the regular season of the Danish First Division before ending the promotion round in second place.
Sulemana expressed his excitement about returning to the club, describing the move as a homecoming.
“Returning to Hillerød feels like coming home again,” the Ghanaian said.
The transfer also gives Sulemana an opportunity to establish himself as an important player at the Danish club after previously being contracted to Randers.
The young forward began his football development at the Right to Dream Academy in Ghana before moving to France, where he joined Olympique Lyon’s academy. He later moved to Denmark and signed for Randers FC in 2024.
At international level, Sulemana has represented Ghana at the Under-20 level. He was part of the Black Satellites squad at the 2023 African Games, where Ghana won the gold medal, and also emerged as one of the team’s notable players at the 2025 CAF U-20 Africa Cup of Nations.
Sulemana is also the younger brother of Ghana international Kamaldeen Sulemana, who currently plays for Italian Serie A side Atalanta.
