Semper Fi and Ebusua Dwarfs will face off for the X1 DOL Super Cup trophy when they meet in the grand finale at the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium on Tuesday at 3:00 p.m.
Both teams have enjoyed strong campaigns and will be aiming to end the competition with their first Super Cup title.
Semper Fi have been particularly impressive in defence, qualifying from Group B as winners without conceding a goal. They started the competition with a goalless draw against Tamale City before recording another 0-0 draw against AshantiGold.
They secured top spot in the group after beating Nsuopon Fidelity 1-0 to finish with five points.
Their defensive strength continued in the semi-final, where they defeated Attram De Visser 1-0. Emmanuel Adjei Laryea scored the decisive goal from the penalty spot in the 90th minute to send Semper Fi into the final.
Ebusua Dwarfs, on the other hand, topped Group A unbeaten with seven points after scoring six goals in the group stage. They booked their place in the final after overcoming Nsuopon Fidelity 3-2 on penalties following a goalless draw in regulation time.
The final will also have added significance because both clubs finished second in their respective zones in the just-ended Division One League season. Semper Fi placed second in Zone Three, while Ebusua Dwarfs finished second in Zone Two.
Neither club has previously reached the X1 DOL Super Cup final, making Tuesday’s match a historic occasion for both sides.
