Bechem United boosted their Ghana Premier League survival hopes with an impressive 3-1 victory over already relegated Eleven Wonders at the Swedru Sports Stadium on Friday.
Augustine Okrah set the tone early, scoring in just the 2nd minute and adding his second in first-half stoppage time to give Bechem a comfortable 2-0 lead at halftime.
Eleven Wonders responded in the 66th minute with a well-worked goal finished by Eden Kofi Asamoah.
However, their comeback was short-lived, as Isaiah Nyarko struck three minutes later to restore Bechem’s two-goal cushion and secure the win.
The result moves Bechem United up to 9th place with 40 points, strengthening their bid to avoid relegation.
Eleven Wonders, meanwhile, remain bottom of the table with 10 points after another tough outing.
Bechem will aim to carry this momentum into their next home game against Dreams FC, while Eleven Wonders, despite already being relegated, will look to restore some pride when they face Swedru All Blacks next.
