José Mourinho reportedly played a crucial role in convincing highly rated Ivorian forward Yan Diomandé to join Real Madrid instead of French giants Paris Saint-Germain (PSG).
According to reports, the Portuguese coach held direct conversations with the teenager before the transfer was completed, outlining his vision for the player’s future at the Santiago Bernabéu.
Mourinho is said to have assured Diomandé that he would not be treated merely as a long-term project but as an important member of Real Madrid’s plans.
