Military personnel have been deployed to the operational area of Adamus Resources Limited following the government’s decision to revoke its mining leases.
Soldiers have reportedly taken control of the concession area, securing access routes and key sections of the site as authorities move to enforce the revocation decision.
The deployment comes shortly after the Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources cancelled Adamus mining leases over alleged regulatory breaches, including environmental violations and illegal mining-related concerns.
Adamus Resources has rejected the government’s decision, insisting that it was not given due process and that the allegations against the company do not reflect its operations.
The company has maintained that it is engaging relevant authorities to challenge the decision through lawful channels.
Security presence at the site is expected to remain in place as the government enforces control over the concession and further administrative steps are taken regarding the revocation.
