Techiman Eleven Wonders FC has been hit with a transfer ban after failing to comply with a ruling to pay former player Moses Afriyie.
The decision comes after the club ignored a deadline set by the Players’ Status Committee, which ordered them to settle financial obligations owed to Afriyie.
Despite being given enough time to make the payment, Eleven Wonders did not comply. This led to further action from the Disciplinary Committee, which has now enforced a transfer ban on the club.
The punishment means Eleven Wonders will not be allowed to register new players, both in domestic competitions and in international transfers, until they fully obey the ruling and clear the outstanding debt.
This is a major setback for the club, especially as it prepares for future competitions and squad rebuilding.
Moses Afriyie, a former player of the club, had taken the matter through the proper football channels after claiming he was not paid what he was owed. After reviewing the case, the Players’ Status Committee ruled in his favour and ordered the club to pay him within a set period.
However, the club failed to meet the deadline, leading to the enforcement of stricter sanctions.
The Disciplinary Committee’s decision is in line with football regulations, which require clubs to respect contractual agreements and comply with rulings from official bodies.
Failure to do so often results in penalties such as transfer bans, fines, or further disciplinary action.
For Eleven Wonders, the ban could affect their plans in the upcoming transfer window. The club may now be forced to rely on its existing squad unless the issue is resolved quickly.
It also puts pressure on the management to settle the payment and restore the club’s ability to recruit new players.
