The National Service Authority (NSA) has announced postings for 18,416 trained teachers to fulfil their mandatory national service for the 2026/2027 service year.

In a press statement dated April 22, 2026, and signed by the Director-General, Ruth Dela Seddoh, the Authority stated that the postings are for eligible graduates from accredited Colleges of Education throughout the country.

According to the statement, the postings aim to facilitate the trained teachers’ enrollment and commencement of their national service, which officially begins on Monday, May 4, 2026.

“All eligible trained teachers are requested to visit the Authority’s website and access their respective places of posting, and follow the stated procedures to complete the regional validation,” the statement noted.

The NSA indicated that the regional validation exercise has already started and will continue from April 22 to May 15, 2026. Management is therefore urging all prospective service personnel to complete the process within the specified timeframe.

The Authority also reminded the public that under the National Service Authority Act, 2024 (Act 1119), every Ghanaian citizen aged 18 and above who has graduated from an accredited tertiary institution, including universities and colleges of education, is mandated by law to undertake national service.

The release is part of the NSA’s efforts to deploy trained teachers nationwide to support the education sector while fulfilling their national duty.
