NPP’s core values under threat – K.T. Hammond

Parliament Member (MP), K.T. Hammond, has voiced his concerns regarding what he perceives as an increasing level of indiscipline and a lack of respect for authority within the New Patriotic Party (NPP), cautioning that the party’s foundational values must be safeguarded.

Speaking an interview, Mr. Hammond remarked that the current situation within the party does not align with the principles upon which the NPP was established.

“There is no law and order in the NPP, and I don’t get it because this is not what we started with in 1992,” he said.

He noted that certain younger members of the party have gained excessive influence and are operating without regard for the structures and traditions that have historically guided the NPP.

“The youth have taken over the party and are doing whatever they want with it. We shall not allow them to destroy the party,” he stated.

Mr. Hammond emphasized the importance of reinstating discipline, respecting party structures, and adhering to the values that have been instrumental in the NPP’s growth since its inception.

He cautioned that neglecting to restore order could jeopardize the party’s internal unity and threaten its future political viability.
