Pro-Sports FC thrash Future Stars 5-0 as Mysterious Dwarfs stage comeback

Newly promoted Pro-Sports FC continued their impressive debut campaign in the UMB Division One League with a commanding 5-0 victory over Future Stars FC at the Gyamfi Park.

Dominic Owusu opened the scoring for the home side in the 15th minute before Richard Boahen converted from the penalty spot 15 minutes later to double the advantage.

Albert Gaisie added a third goal in the 41st minute as Pro-Sports FC went into halftime firmly in control.

The hosts maintained their dominance after the break, with Daniel Crenstil extending the lead in the 66th minute. Joseph Boadu then completed the rout 11 minutes later to cap an impressive performance from the newcomers.

Meanwhile, Nsuopun Fidelity FC maintained their unbeaten start to their second successive Division One League campaign with a 1-0 victory over former Premier League side New Edubiase United at the Dominase AstroTurf on Friday.

Seth Asamanyua scored the only goal of the match in the 23rd minute, securing all three points for the home side.

In another fixture, Cape Coast Mysterious Dwarfs staged a dramatic comeback to defeat King Faisal FC 2-1 at the Gyamfi Park on Sunday.

King Faisal took the lead through Daniel Fosu Opoku in the 32nd minute and held the advantage until late in the second half.

Adamu Alhassan turned the game around with goals in the 80th and 87th minutes to complete his brace and hand Mysterious Dwarfs another important victory.
