The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has organised a mandatory training programme for Premier League players and officials to improve their understanding of the Laws of the Game.
The programme is aimed at promoting professionalism, improving discipline and encouraging greater respect for match officials during matches.
Players and officials from Accra Hearts of Oak, Asante Kotoko, Bibiani Gold Stars, Basake Holy Stars, Karela United, Heart of Lions and Medeama have completed the training.
Representatives of Young Apostles, Swedru All Blacks, Vision FC, Debibi United and FC Ashantigold 04 have also taken part in the programme.
The remaining clubs expected to undergo the training are Berekum Chelsea, Bechem United, Dreams FC and Port City FC.
The sessions are being led by GFA Technical Referees Instructors, who are taking participants through the latest amendments to the Laws of the Game for the 2026/27 season.
The training is expected to help players and club officials better understand the rules and support their proper application during the season.
The GFA said the initiative forms part of its wider efforts to promote professionalism, integrity, respect and responsible conduct in Ghanaian football.
It also seeks to improve cooperation between clubs, players and match officials and reduce misunderstandings over refereeing decisions during matches.
The training follows earlier integrity and safeguarding sessions organised for players and officials.
Participants were also required to sign an Integrity Form as a commitment to fair play, ethical conduct and protecting the integrity of Ghanaian football.
