The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has released the fixtures for the 2026/27 Division One League Zone One, with clubs in Zones IA and IB preparing for a competitive campaign.
The new season is scheduled to begin between September 18 and 21, 2026, with matches expected to be played across the two zones. The campaign will run until May 24, 2027.
A total of 224 matches will be played during the season, spread across 30 match weekends. In line with the league’s structure, clubs will play their matches at weekends, with no official midweek fixtures planned.
In Zone IA, former Premier League side Real Tamale United (RTU) will begin their promotion campaign away from home against Sankara National FC.
Steadfast FC will host Wa Power in another opening-weekend fixture, while Tamale City FC will welcome Northern FC to the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium.
Newly promoted Kalibi SC will also start their campaign at home when they face Berekum City FC in Wa. The match will provide an early test for both teams as they look to establish themselves in the division.
Zone IB will also see several interesting fixtures on the opening weekend.
Former Premier League club Eleven Wonders will begin their campaign away against Mighty Royals as they seek to return to the top flight.
Victory Club Warriors will host newcomers Bectero Sasana FC, while Techiman Liberty Youth FC will travel to play Dorma Unity FC.
In another Zone IB encounter, K.A.C will host Yapei as the teams begin their respective campaigns.
The opening fixtures are expected to give clubs an early opportunity to assess their strengths and set the tone for the season.
