GFA announces Gold Fields as Women’s league sponsor

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has announced Gold Fields Ghana Limited as the new headline sponsor of the Ghana Women’s Premier League, in a move expected to provide a major boost to the growth and development of women’s football in the country.

The partnership represents a significant investment in the women’s game and forms part of the GFA’s broader efforts to strengthen the league through strategic collaborations that improve competitiveness, visibility and long-term sustainability.

Gold Fields Ghana takes over as the headline sponsor of the Women’s Premier League following the successful completion of the previous partnership with Malta Guinness, which supported the league during a key period of growth.

In a statement, the GFA expressed its appreciation to Gold Fields Ghana Limited for showing confidence in the future of Ghana football and welcomed the company into the football community.

“The Football Association is delighted to announce Gold Fields Ghana Limited as the new Headline Sponsor of the Ghana Women’s Premier League,” the association said.
