Former Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) prospect Ayman Kari has reportedly decided to end his professional football career at just 21 years old, bringing an early end to the career of a player once regarded as one of France’s promising young midfielders.
Kari, who came through the PSG academy, has now begun the process of moving into working life after stepping away from professional football. Reports indicate that he has started looking for employment outside the sport.
The midfielder was highly rated during his time in PSG’s youth system and was regarded as one of the outstanding talents of his generation. He also represented France at several youth levels, including the Under-20 team.
Kari spent time on loan at Lorient, where he gained experience in senior football. He made 20 professional appearances during his career, scoring once, before leaving PSG in 2025.
He became a free agent following his departure from PSG in July 2025 and has remained without a club since then.
Kari’s decision has reportedly been influenced by his growing dissatisfaction with the demands and pressures associated with professional football.
His close associates had previously described his decision as a personal choice by a young player who felt that the professional football environment was not suited to him.
The latest reports suggest that what was initially viewed as a temporary break from football has now become a permanent decision, with Kari pursuing a career outside the game.
