Man United hopeful of Baleba return before international break

Manchester United are hopeful that new signing Carlos Baleba will be fit to play before the first international break of the season.

The midfielder has been recovering from an ankle ligament injury he suffered at the beginning of August.

Manchester United had been monitoring the injury before completing their plans for the player and were reassured that the problem was not serious.

Baleba missed part of pre-season because of the injury, which has delayed his start with his new club.

Before his move, Brighton had hoped the midfielder would return to training with his teammates ahead of their Premier League game against Chelsea last Sunday.

The club had also expected him to be available for action in September.

However, Manchester United may decide not to rush the player back. Baleba is still new to the club and has missed part of pre-season, meaning the club will want to make sure he is fully ready before allowing him to play.

The 22-year-old joined Manchester United from Brighton in the summer after impressing during his time with the Premier League club.
