The Ghana national team, the Black Stars, have opened camp in Cardiff as preparations begin for next month’s international friendly against Wales.
The team held its first training session at Dragon Park on Monday under the supervision of head coach Carlos Queiroz.
Thirteen players took part in the session, while the remaining members of the squad are expected to arrive on Tuesday.
Among the players who trained were Ernest Nuamah, Brandon Thomas-Asante, Jordan Ayew, Abdul Fatawu Issahaku, Elisha Owusu and Gideon Mensah.
Others who participated in the opening session include Caleb Yirenkyi, Marvin Senaya, Jerome Opoku, Benjamin Asare, Joseph Anang, Solomon Agbasi and Alidu Seidu.
The Black Stars will continue training in Cardiff for the next week before facing Wales in an international friendly on Tuesday, June 2.
After the match, the team will travel to the United States to continue preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Coach Queiroz is expected to use the training camp and friendly match to assess his players before announcing his final squad for the Mundial.
According to FIFA regulations, all participating countries must submit their final 26-man squads by Monday, June 1.
Ghana have been drawn in Group L alongside Panama, England and Croatia.
The Black Stars will begin their World Cup campaign against Panama on June 17 in Toronto before taking on England and Croatia in their remaining group matches.
