Black Stars head coach Carlos Queiroz has begun an important European tour aimed at preparing Ghana for the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The trip, which started last Sunday, is focused on monitoring players, building relationships, and sharing his vision ahead of the global tournament.
Coach Queiroz, who was officially unveiled in Accra just last week, wasted no time in getting to work. Before leaving for Europe, he observed local talents within the Black Galaxies setup, showing his commitment to assessing both home-based and foreign-based players.
He has already held meetings with team captain Jordan Ayew and midfield anchor Thomas Partey. These early engagements are seen as crucial in building trust and unity within the team.
Coach Queiroz is expected to meet several other senior players and emerging talents across Europe. He will also attend matches involving Ghanaian players, closely monitoring their performances, fitness levels, and form.
This hands-on approach is intended to help him make informed decisions about squad selection while also motivating players to perform at their best.

The Portuguese trainer is being supported by his technical team, who are assisting in scouting and player assessments. Together, they are working to create a strong and competitive squad capable of making an impact on the world stage.
The main goal of his European mission is to connect directly with key members of the squad and ensure they understand his tactical approach and expectations.
Ghana has been drawn in a challenging Group L alongside Panama, England, and Croatia. With tough opponents ahead, Coach Queiroz’s early preparations and direct engagement with players could prove vital.
