Black Queens head coach has named his squad for Ghana’s second-round qualifying campaign for the 2028 Olympic Games, with two Black Princesses receiving their first senior call-ups.
Ampem Darkoa Ladies forward Rabiatu Maltiti and Police Ladies midfielder Margaret Agyapomaa have been included in the squad for the two-legged tie against Mauritius.
The call-ups provide the two young players with an opportunity to make their senior international debuts as Ghana begins its quest to qualify for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games.
Former Black Maidens captain Mukarama Abdulai is also back in the squad after a lengthy absence due to injury. The forward has previously represented the Black Queens and will bring valuable experience to the team for the crucial qualifiers.
Ghana were given a bye in the opening round of the African qualifiers and were subsequently paired against the winner of the Mauritius-Djibouti tie in the second round.
Mauritius progressed from that contest to earn a meeting with the Black Queens in a two-legged encounter.
Ghana will travel to Mauritius for the first leg on Thursday, October 8, 2026, with the return fixture scheduled for Tuesday, October 13, in Ghana.
The Olympic qualifiers form part of Ghana’s preparations to secure a place at the 2028 Games in Los Angeles, where the women’s football tournament will feature Africa’s top contenders.
