Liverpool have completed the signing of French winger Bradley Barcola from Paris Saint-Germain in one of the biggest transfers of the 2026 summer window.
The Premier League club confirmed the deal on Monday, August 31, bringing the 23-year-old France international to Anfield on a long-term contract. The transfer is reportedly worth up to £123 million, including an initial fee of about £106 million and potential add-ons.
Barcola had been one of Liverpool’s main transfer targets during the summer, with negotiations between the two clubs continuing for several weeks before an agreement was reached.
The winger is expected to add pace, creativity and attacking quality to Liverpool’s forward line. His arrival is particularly important following the departure of Mohamed Salah, as the club look to strengthen their attacking options for the new campaign.
Barcola began his professional career at Olympique Lyonnais before moving to PSG in 2023. During his time in Paris, he developed into an important attacking player and helped the French club win major domestic and European honours.
He made 152 appearances for PSG, scoring 39 goals and providing 37 assists across competitions. He was also part of the PSG team that won two Champions League titles, three Ligue 1 championships and two French Cups.
At international level, Barcola has established himself as part of the France setup and was included in the country’s 2026 World Cup squad. Known for his speed and ability to take on defenders, he is expected to bring another dimension to Liverpool’s attack.
The transfer also makes Barcola one of Liverpool’s most expensive signings. Reports indicate that only Alexander Isak has cost the club more, while the deal takes Liverpool’s spending on major attacking talent to another level.
